As of today it’s official. I am an ‘Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Business Intelligence Foundation Certified Implementation Specialist’. A few weeks ago I managed to pass the; ‘Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Certified Implementation Specialist’-exams (1Z0-526).
According to my current Oracle Certification Status, I am now;
Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Business Intelligence Foundation Certified Implementation Specialist
OPN Certified Specialist
A lot of questions arise about preperation for this exam. If you have experience with Oracle BI EE, which you should have when you want to call your self a Certified Implementation Specialist, you should be able to answer all kinds of questions related to Oracle BI EE. Some more details could be found here. You should be familiar with all mentioned aspects.
So my conclusion is; If you have experience with Oracle BI EE it should not be any problem to pass the exam.

I do not have access to any dumpfiles. You should be able to pass these exams based on your experiences only.
Try to write ( blog, anwering questions, etc. ) about Oracle BI 11g. That’ s the best preparation you can get.

Isn’t 1Z0-526 only for OBIEE 10g only? I passed the same and the one for OBIA (796). Neither one do not cover ant OBIEE 11g. Correct me if I am wrong?

Like I said before, there is no 11g Certification yet. You take the 10g exam and you are 11g certified. That’s how it works for now.

Dann, The link again takes me back to Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation 10.1.3 Certified Implementation Specialist and not to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Business Intelligence Foundation Certified Implementation Specialist..pls advice.

There is no 11g Certification yet. You take the 10g exam and you are 11g certified. That’s how it works for now.

Hi Kris,
That’s a though question. There were some general questions about eg. partitioning. Next to that there were very Oracle BI EE specific questions about where to handle certain functionalities. I do not remeber any questions by heart. The majority of the questions could easily be answered, because of the fact I use Oracle BI EE on a daily basis. All the other questions required a little bit more logical thinking.
I guess you should follow the links in the posts to see the possible subjects.
